Lancaster Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with CWS-Lancaster!

As you know, the entire US resettlement program is in a 120-day suspension, meaning that very few refugees are arriving into the US. The suspension is expected to lift at the end of October 2017, and we fully anticipate the program to resume resettlement in November 2017. That said, we have also had a significant increase in volunteers and community engagement over the recent months, but few newly arriving refugees entering.

At this time, we have transitioned our monthly volunteer orientations to rather be monthly community education sessions, and we will not be processing new volunteer applications until the suspension is lifted.

We apologize for this, and call for you to take action in making your voices heard with our congressional leaders, and those of the current administration. You can do so by calling the numbers listed below.

 Representatives: 1-888-496-3502
Senators: 1-888-410-0619
PRESIDENT TRUMP: (202) 456-1111

Thank you for your support and solidarity.
