Refugee Employment

The Employment Program provides assistance to:

  • Refugees
  • Cuban/Haitian Entrants
  • Asylees
  • Victims of Trafficking

to secure employment and build upon skills, for up to 5 years from arrival. A skilled Employment Specialist is partnered with each client to provide intensive support through the job search, hiring, and retention process. New clients prepare for their first job by completing an Employment Orientation Course and a four-week ESL Work Readiness Class, covering essential topics for the workforce.

As clients acclimate within the labor market, they can return to this program to obtain a job upgrade and receive training through the Career Readiness course.
