U.S. Reception and Placement (Resettlement)

The Resettlement Program provides assistance to:

  • Refugees
  • Cuban/Haitian Entrants
  • Asylees
  • Victims of Trafficking

with the purpose of easing clients’ adjustment to their new community upon arrival to the US.

Reception and Placement services are provided for a minimum of 90-days and include the provision of housing, food, and clothing; placement in ESL and cultural orientation classes; medical appointments; enrollment of children in school, and assistance to obtain social security cards, among others.


Clients with special needs and from vulnerable groups are eligible to receive additional intensive case management for up to 5 years from arrival.
