Provides newcomers the assistance to move towards financial self-sufficiancy through securing employment. New clients prepare for their first job by completing an Employment Orientation Course and a four-week ESL Work Readiness Class, covering essential topics for the workforce.

The Employment Program provides assistance to:

  • Refugees
  • Cuban/Haitian Entrants
  • Asylees
  • Victims of Trafficking

to secure employment and build upon skills, for up to 5 years from arrival. A skilled Employment Specialist is partnered with each client to provide intensive support through the job search, hiring, and retention process. New clients prepare for their first job by completing an Employment Orientation Course and a four-week ESL Work Readiness Class, covering essential topics for the workforce.

As clients acclimate within the labor market, they can return to this program to obtain a job upgrade and receive training through the Career Readiness course.

Workplace English:

We provide tailored English classes to your employees who don’t speak English as their first language.

CWS will come to your workplace, inventory the language needs, and develop a curriculum unique to your specific workplace environment. Training is conducted onsite for the convenience of employees.
