New Neighbors Speakers Bureau
The New Neighbors Speakers Bureau creates meaningful opportunities for local community organizations and refugees, immigrants, and asylum-seekers to join together in storytelling and dialogue. The New Neighbors Speakers Bureau:
- Centers voices of former and current refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers as they share their own experiences and expertise
- Cultivates trauma-informed storytelling practices in public speaking and outreach through a formalized network of speakers who are fairly compensated
- Contributes underrepresented narratives to communities in and beyond south-central PA while building connection and collaboration
- Celebrates diverse voices and the role storytelling can play in building informed and nuanced understanding of important issues
